Google is bringing Nano Banana to Google Search, NotebookLM, and soon to Photos. In August, Google introduced its new image editing model “Nano Banana,” built on Gemini 2.5 Flash. Since then, people have used it in many creative ways in the Gemini app, with over 5 billion images already created.
Now, Google is adding Nano Banana to Search and NotebookLM so more people can enjoy these advanced features. In Search, you can take a photo with Lens (or choose one from your gallery) and instantly edit it with AI — just open Lens in the Google app and tap the “Create” mode.
In NotebookLM, Nano Banana is making Video Overviews more helpful by adding 6 new styles like watercolor and anime. It also creates images based on your notes and introduces a new format called “Brief” for quick insights.
In the coming weeks, Nano Banana will also be added to Google Photos, so stay tuned for more updates!
